From your very first phone call to our office, our professional and caring staff members are there to help you and your child have a positive, rewarding, and successful dental experience. A member of our staff will ask you important questions about your child, for example, whether or not he or she is in any pain, or if this is an urgent situation which requires an immediate appointment. They will ask you if your child has any significant medical problems we should be aware of, and if he or she has ever been to the dentist before, and if so, are there any X-rays we can use to diagnose your child's dental condition. Many dentists refer children to us because they feel that our office is better suited to handle children, especially apprehensive ones.

Once you and your child arrive, a member of our clinical staff will guide you and your child towards a rewarding and educational appointment. You will meet Miss Joanne, Miss Janice or Miss Julie, our super kid-friendly hygienists, who will introduce your child to all of the new things he or she will be experiencing. If this is your child's first visit to the dentist, we will take your child's picture, so you can put it in the personalized Dentasaurus book we send to your child.

One of our dental assistants may take some digital radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of your child's dental condition. Our hygienists may clean your child's teeth and apply fluoride to protect the enamel from decay. They will teach your child how to brush and floss, and explain why it's so important to keep their teeth healthy and strong. Finally, Drs. Schapiro, Maloney or Halliburton will examine your child, discuss their dental condition with you, and answer any questions you may have.
Once you and your child are back up front, a member of our business staff will review the charges for the appointment and schedule a return visit. Experienced in addressing insurance questions, our staff will prepare any insurance forms on your behalf and are available to assist you in maximizing your insurance benefits. Any questions you may have about this appointment or upcoming appointments will be answered by one of our caring business team members.
